As members of this community, residents have the unique opportunity to participate in specialized programs, like the American River Clean-Up, Alternative Spring Break, and volunteering in the community. The Global Village Theme community brings together structured programming geared to support and build community among our international residents and US residents. Residents of this theme community will engage in cultural exchange programming and support students who may be interested in studying abroad. As members of this community residents have the unique opportunity to participate in specialized programs that will allow residents to engage with others who speak another language, film discussions and faculty interactions.

The Honors Program Community brings together residents who are accepted into the General Education Honors Program and who want to live on campus. There will be classes offered in Riverview Hall and a shared community living experience that will include social programming, faculty discussions and guest speaker lectures.

The Leadership Community bring together residents who share common interests and goals in developing their leadership skills, having leadership experiences, and getting involved in campus clubs and organization. As members of this community, residents have the unique opportunity to participate in specialized programs, such as the Leadership Initiative, workshops, retreats, and leadership development. The Social Justice and Inclusion Theme Community at Sacramento State fosters a sense of welcoming and belonging through fostering communication amongst students of diverse backgrounds and identities.

This community is ideal for students who want to develop a greater understanding of social justice and inclusivity and how individuals can promote positive change individually and collectively in society. As members of the Social Justice and Inclusion community, residents will learn about social consciousness, awareness, and respect for all. The Black Cultural Excellence Community showcases and highlights examples of Black culture in the past and present. The theme community provides residents with opportunities to enhance their college experience through co-curricular programs and engagement with both the Cooper-Woodson College Enhancement and Martin Luther King, Jr.

The Black Cultural Excellence community encourages students to examine their identity through an intersectional lens and advances an understanding of Black Cultures and Pan African concepts. The Full Circle Project aims to assist students throughout his or her entire college careers and provide ample opportunities to engage in service both on and off-campus to enhance their university experience.

This project provides students with solid academic coursework, strong advising support, intentionally planned leadership options and co-curricular service-learning incentives to engage in campus, community-based service activities, and career opportunities. The WELLness Community brings together residents who share common interests and goals in an active lifestyle, recreation, and a commitment to explore wellness. As members of this community, residents have the unique opportunity to participate in specialized programs, retreats, activities, and to develop relationships with faculty and staff members.

This community is ideal for those who like to explore holistic wellness. The Transfer Community is deed for students who have transferred into Sacramento State.
